A variety of shops
It’s so important to shop local. Huntingdon has a variety of indie shops such a Deaveson’s Jewellers, Robert Goddard fashion and Music Street, which all give that individuality to the town. Chequers Shopping Centre offers a range of top fashion and lifestyle brands in the heart of the town centre.
Huntingdon has a warm welcome for everyone, be it for the business traveller or for finding time to spend with family and friends.
Market
Traditional markets take place each Wednesday and Saturday in the High Street.
An ancient Royal Charter established the traditional Saturday market here in 1205. Huntingdon’s present-day street markets are part of the character of the town and help to make this an interesting place to visit.
A number of regular visiting markets bring variety and a vibrant atmosphere to the town throughout the year, such as the ever-popular Chilli Fest.
The weekly Traditional Market is organised by Huntingdonshire District Council.
